Two traits highest correlated with success (if you have at least avg intelligence): 1. "Grit” - everyone has heard of it. 2. "Self-Control" - Regulating emotion, attention, and behavior. No one talks about self-control, but they should. This one sinks a lot of people.

A pretty much constant paradox is that we expect outlier outcomes from people that we demand act in normal, average ways. We love geniuses after they do the great thing, but we basically loath and harass them if they act in uncouth ways before hand.
I’ve seen brilliant CEOs (much smarter than me) fail because they froze. And less brilliant-CEOs win because they moved. Learned from the action. Then moved forward again. In startups, motion > perfection.
