In the 8 years I had insurance through my employer I only used the dental and the rare prescription. The company closed and now I'm uninsured. Just refilled a prescription I paid $60 for with insurance, now $19. I asked the woman why and she said sometimes the insurance company makes them charge more. I paid the insurance company to pay more for medicine. Insurance is a Ponzi scheme with the added psychological warfare of convincing people they need to pay for those tens of thousands of employees, overhead, bonuses, and CEOs otherwise they're screwed. If we all turned our backs THEY would be screwed and we'd be fine. I'm so tired of this dishonest world.

I've always believed they overstated the number of vaxed. It added to the psychological pressure - you're in a tiny minority, freak! I always laugh at the unvaxed spouting being in the 15%. Really? You didn't believe the vax bs but believe that stat? People are funny.

This is Bronco, our new, young, full of testosterone rooster. We needed a new one and his owner was afraid of him. He's a bird brain. He attacks me daily. My 6'3" son once who's just looked down at him and said "really?". I calmly walk him down til he turns tail. Then as I'm walking away he crows victoriously. He takes care of the girls though so I'll put up with his nonsense. Maybe he'll grow out of it. It's why roosters have a short life span - too dumb to asses who they're starting a bar fight with.

A girl, maybe 21, was working the gas pumps yesterday. The pump was giving me problems and she got snappish. I said, in a mellow voice, no need to be rude. I almost broke her. She was visibly distressed, rambled on, said she often can't control her tone. Her response was the unexpected, confusing part. Telling my boy later he said autistic and I know he was right. I have to become more attuned to these kids.
