@RichardDawkins I suspect it got the most votes because it abdicated responsibility back to the electorate. Not the most honorable of motives.

@paullewismoney @edfenergy Me too. But every time I tried it was not available in my area. Strange as I live inside the M25 orbital!

This is a very clever poem by a talented young wordsmith.

Today in Y6 we looked at poems that could be read forwards & backwards. I was stunned by this one written by one of my 10 year olds. Please share - I would love her work to be appreciated further afield. I wonder if it could even find a publisher?

@CTrevanion Shouldn't the same apply to elephant feet made into umbrella stands?

@paullewismoney @BBCBreakfast @Moneybox How's this for inflation. I rent some land at the end of my garden for £320.00 per annum. The landlord has raised the rent to £2,400.00 a year. 750% inflation!

@paullewismoney I have been made very aware recently of the bank closures in rural areas. It is not just the villages that are suffering but large towns too. North Devon has been hard hit. No longer are banks for the ordinary person. Is anything being done to stop the trend?

@gnomeicide @paullewismoney @Moneybox @BBCRadio4 That is assuming your branch hasn't been closed or taken over by hole-in-the-wall machines as is the case in some rural areas.

@paullewismoney So true. I have had to change both my house insurance and that for my car because of it. And if anyone blames Brexit I'll scream.

@paullewismoney Insurance companies that have hiked their prices this year for no apparent reason and way beyond the level of inflation, especially for pensioners

@CTrevanion I enjoy Bargain Hunt and all its experts but I am having withdrawal symptoms. I appear to be missing an infectious smile.

@stephenbooth I can understand that. I'm currently 2/3 through Dead in the Dark having read all the Cooper and Fry novels. It's addictive especially as my eldest daughter lives in Chesterfield.
