@DrFrostResource Where are these? I searched for the circle one and it's not the file you're showing on here?

@NigelLaw526509 @GuyEmma68700 @adamboxer1 But either way, if you don't believe there's evidence of an improvement, you cannot argue for an increase in 4+, 7+. If you believe they have, then absolutely there should be but it should be based on evidence.

@NigelLaw526509 @GuyEmma68700 @adamboxer1 Of course. There's a non-zero chance of this. However, I'd choose to believe teaching has improved, leading to the requirement for a higher proportion at certain levels. If you choose to believe they don't deserve it, so be it!

@NigelLaw526509 @GuyEmma68700 @adamboxer1 Bloody hell. The hypocrisy is off the chart. If you want me to simplify anything, just ask. However, as someone who regularly quotes mathematical terms (albeit not often correctly), I had higher hopes!

@NigelLaw526509 @GuyEmma68700 @adamboxer1 And as you have seen (or could have if you were more interested in evidence) the NFER report is quite clear on the trend for maths. There is improvement, and we should celebrate this.

@NigelLaw526509 @GuyEmma68700 @adamboxer1 I mean my advice would be not to continue posting bullshit if you don't want to be challenged. It's also dull watching you post the same stuff again and again. My issue is that you present it as an immutable change at the whim of boards, rather than based on statistical evidence.

@NigelLaw526509 @GuyEmma68700 @adamboxer1 Good lord. I'm just glad you aren't lying to students that the mean Ofqual is preventing them from passing.

@NigelLaw526509 @GuyEmma68700 @adamboxer1 Apologies for reading what you post. I guess I should do what you do and just ignore comments and keep repeating nonsense...?

@NigelLaw526509 @GuyEmma68700 @adamboxer1 Ha. Yes I forget that you're the only one who can ask the questions. Such a good look 🤩 As for making cases, it doesn't really matter when one is factually inaccurate. I guess if I kept being told that I was wrong and then was ignored, I'd be like this too!

@NigelLaw526509 @GuyEmma68700 @adamboxer1 Happy to look if you share. Is it based on fact or just further conspiracy?

@NigelLaw526509 @GuyEmma68700 @adamboxer1 Totally irrelevant but okay. As for personal comments and smears, which do you believe asking if you are still teaching is? If it helps, I've been a teacher for roughly 20 years and a HOD for about 5, amongst other rolls. Your turn?

@GuyEmma68700 @NigelLaw526509 @adamboxer1 I believe that he has been in one for the 24 years he claims but that potentially means that he hasn't for a long time, as he is close to 60.

@GuyEmma68700 @NigelLaw526509 @adamboxer1 I mean there could be minor details that I don't know. I always joke that it's also a way of making it clear that you changed something in education...

@NigelLaw526509 @GuyEmma68700 @adamboxer1 My understanding is that it's to further discriminate between the highest achievers. Happy to be corrected based on fact, rather than opinion. This, however, is really not the important point...

@ChrisBeeden @timleunig That, however, is very different to what he claims. He didn't even know about the NRT but has written a book on GCSEs...

@NigelLaw526509 @GuyEmma68700 @adamboxer1 I have literally explained things to you. You just repeat your conspiracies. I can't help that you choose to ignore the reports because Ofqual and NFER aren't trustworthy etc.

@GuyEmma68700 @NigelLaw526509 @adamboxer1 He really doesn't. It's quite funny to watch - he wrote a book but has for weeks now demonstrated ignorance about many things around the area.

@NigelLaw526509 @GuyEmma68700 @adamboxer1 Nigel, you must realise at some point that you really don't know as much as you think about this topic. You come across as some sort of disgruntled ex teacher who wants to explain away certain issues. Just accept that you aren't right. It's painful to watch.

They are best understood as cohort-adjusted, statistically anchored grades intended to preserve standards over time. A hybrid system with a strong norm- or cohort-referenced component. Quoted because Old an I block each other.

@oldandrewuk The inability or unwillingness to understand the difference between norm-referenced and cohort-referenced interpretations of assessment outcomes is widespread and enduring.
