We unveiled my father’s headstone today in Kansas City. It was a very cold day and as the Rabbi recited a psalm to start the small ceremony a cold wind blew and gave everyone a tremendous chill. Thanks for saying hi dad.
@masner Where in Kansas City, if I may ask? I live here and I would love to pay my respects.
@masner Thank you for sharing! Your father was generous in sharing his gift; a bright light in my life. I love that you included "He hated spunk." Brought a tear to my eye. A happy memory for millions, I'm sure! May his memory be a blessing!
@masner I met your dad ~1987. He was a guest at the OP Marriott where I worked. He was in town for, I believe, his 40-yr high school reunion. I can still picture the scene in my mind’s eye. Legend.
@masner Please forgive the question at this sad time, but if you don’t mind replying, are the small stones and pebbles brought from where the visitors live, like a little piece of their home as a gift of sorts to the deceased?
@masner God bless your family and your fathers soul
@masner "He had spunk." He certainly did! He gave us all a lot of joy & laughter, too. We miss him. May his memory forever be a blessing.
