ashton kutcher co-founding a campaign to end child trafficking but writing letters of support for his serial rapist bestie is such a great encapsulation of the way people love to fight against their imaginary idea of what abuse is but not what it actually is

@mattxiv I agree with you that Ashton Kutcher's actions are hypocritical. He has spoken out against child trafficking and has even co-founded a foundation to fight it, but he has also written letters of support for his friend, Danny Masterson, who has been accused of multiple rapes.
@mattxiv No surprises coming from the man who made a philanthropic career conflating SW with trafficking. He has harmed the SW community in unimaginable ways in his campaign to end trafficking without actually knowing what trafficking is. This comes as no surprise.
@mattxiv They’re friends with him? Wouldn’t you take your friends word if this situation were closer to home? It’s easy for us to see his guilt because we have no connection to him but I don’t blame Ashton for thinking the best of his friend. We all would do the same
@mattxiv Hypocrites always reveal themselves in the end 💅💅💅
@mattxiv Unless you’ve seen the letter you have no idea of the context. Calm down turbo.
@mattxiv @LPinderOfficial So you think that child trafficking is an imaginary problem? They wrote the letters as a character statement based on their experiences with Masterson. Most serial abusers are skilled at hiding their true nature from those around them.
@mattxiv Thankfully those letters didn't seem to do Masterson much good, since he was found guilty, sentenced to 30 years, will be a registered sex offender for the rest of his life.
@mattxiv Writing them ahead of his trial would suggest they hadn't heard the evidence yet.
