This made me cry. Please read. “Every year on 9/11, firefighters and first responders across the country honor the fallen by climbing 110 flights, the height of the Twin Towers. Today, I turned 62 years old. I received many birthday messages, illustrations, etc. from all over the world. Thank you so much. I intend to continue creating things for as long as I live. I met Colonel Campbell (Paul Eiding). I was at MGSCON in California this past weekend. In case you don't know, it's a convention entirely dedicated to the Metal Gear fandom. Got to do a couple of panels, meet some fans of my work, got some artwork, and meet some of the voice actors. As I was getting an autograph from Paul, I told him that this was really huge for me because I got to thank him in person for watching and commenting on my "Most Profound Moment in Gaming History" video (the final codec from Metal Gear Solid 2 which featured him). He then asked, "what video was that?" Then I told him the title of the video, and I kid you not, he literally said, "THAT WAS YOU?!" He then complimented the video, and then we briefly talked about the video and how prescient MGS2 was. Really, really nice guy. It was an absolute honor to meet him. P.S. I'll be streaming MGS Delta tomorrow and got a new video coming out shortly after that.
