Happy 41 to band’s debut album. The album is the 2nd reason after Freaky Styley that made me band’s fan many moons ago. Just try to listen to it without comparing it to their more pop & formular works, as if it’s Minutemen or Circle Jerks lp. It’s absolutely unique and fantastic
40 years ago The Red Hot Chili Peppers appeared on the cover of the music magazine for the very first time. August 9, 1985. Ironically a year before BAM published a very negative review about band’s debut lp. The photo was taken by Ed Colver in his photo studio in late July 1985
