@yorkshirepost's railway calculation based on the misconception that #northernpowerhouserail is needed for 'capacity'. It isn't. There's no need for more than 4 fast trains per hour between Liverpool and Manchester, and #Manchester and Leeds, on the existing route.

@AndyBurnhamGM The proposed Liverpool - Manchester line via MAN, which actually misses it, was influenced by the stupid HS2 scheme. Forget it. Build a tunnel under the city centre & improve the local networks in both cities.
