@AllisonMorris1 Allison we are more than fortunate in having some top class, home grown journalists. Journalists who compare more than favourably with those who write for the so called U.K. quality papers. You are one of those journalists doing a great job. Keep doing it and ignore the haters

Gutted for Andy Murray. He fought ferociously - a 36-year-old with a metal hip battling against a hugely talented much younger player. No sympathy for the extremely irritating & uninspiring Cam Norrie. He has a terrible game. Unbelievable he's the world number 8. #Wimbledon

@SorchaEastwood Politics is important, but the welfare of loved ones trumps it every time. Sending lots of love & best wishes to you & Dale in the time ahead.

@OHanlonEilis Eilis the sad truth is you’re too intelligent, too bright, too switched on, too funny for some folk. Me....I think you’re great.

One thing that marks @Cheesewright3 out from other commentators is his concern for the whole UK. Many unionists are focussed exclusively on NI, Ian has absorbed what unionism actually means - the welfare of the Union. Anyway, another great piece here sluggerotoole.com/2023/04/03/for…

Reading a lot of smug tweets about the Belfast Telegraph & News Letter losing circulation and being on their last legs. That's true. But its universal. Its a universal decline based on the fact that people get their news elsewhere. Its a medium reaching the end of its life cycle.

@OHanlonEilis @Decoreilly100 Eilis insect repellents worked for us. We plugged them in and within days.....hey presto our mice guests had gone. That was years ago and haven’t seen a mouse since.

Very sorry to hear of the death of Dr Eamonn Phoenix. He was one of the few people who when he was on the radio or TV you could rely on to come up with something refreshing, interesting and insightful on his subject. He was the best we had and is probably irreplaceable. Sad loss.

Was looking for a different piece by Ian Clarke (@Cheesewright3) but found this one. Very wise as usual on how a comfortable mix of Britishness and Irishness is not some exotic academic abstraction but just "part of the life of any multi-faceted person" sluggerotoole.com/2022/08/25/try…

Those six bikes propped against trees, trainers & rucksacks at Enagh Lough is an epically tragic sight. How end-of-summer holidays carefree fun turned to disaster in an instant. The two lads not returning to school. The friends who must go back without them. Thinking of them all
