I’m sitting here reading the Primal Wound it dawned on me that I had found my biological family three years ago at the age of 58 and a year later when my adoptive mom was informed of this she said “I’m so happy he found his family” #adoption

I’m part of a large FB group someone posted how they were going through struggles adopting 2 children they recently posted it’s a complete success here’s our new family (photo) 575 comments I looked at the first 100 all were congratulations ??Today it’s still a wonderful thing???

My whole life I grew up until I was 58 years old believing I was a “Knox”! Now when l look in the mirror I see “Ponzer/Bohn” need to know I am not alone with very confusing feelings?

The more you research the more questions you have! Here’s a picture from the adoption agency I was in. I spent the first 2 months of my life there in 1961 this picture was from the 1950’s very disturbing.

My adoptive dad would have been 94 today he died one month before my daughter was born 35 years ago. After finding my bio-family 3 years ago so many mixed emotions now about growing up adopted.

So many times the stories I read or the adoption podcasts I listen to are so hard, some are good too. At 60 I’m 2 years into reunion and it seems to be a good story, the reason I’m sharing is my paternity half brother sent this to me out of the blue, I was BLOWN AWAY my dad!!

Asking the adoptee community? I’m 60 years old just got an email from the adoption agency “The Cradle will begin offering 6-week on-line virtual psychoeducational support group for Adoptees’s over 21” I’m very interested but!! “Fee for 6 weeks is $60” WHAT??

I’m 60 years old I found my birth- mother at 58 years old I must say there’s always something soothing about having a conversation with her on the phone? Am I crazy?

In 36 years of marriage my A-mom barely if ever acknowledged my wife. 1 1/2 ago found B-mom since then my wife actually stayed at her home over night, they text regularly and B-mom sends her gifts how things have changed 😀

So in about an hour I turn 60 years old😀 I think about the hard choice my bio-mom made back then ended up creating my five 1/2 brothers & two 1/2 sisters. Can’t change the past embrace the future😀

I always read about bio family members ghosting adoptees, after 59 years my adoptive mom ghosted me she no longer will answer if I call her loss🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Made it to church for Christmas Eve service it was very nice but two things were said that that brought my adoption to the forefront. He said “say your name out loud” for me which one? Daniel or Peter or Michael, then he said “your not an accident” Oh yeah!!!

Since I started coming out of the fog last year I realized how toxic talking to my amom has always been. Early last month on my weekly call (me calling her always) the conversation was horrible. I haven’t call since, I wonder if she will call me? I doubt it.

Is it just me but once I came out of the adoption fog I realized my a-mom is not a nice person actually very destructive to relationships and family?

Talking to my adoptive mom about my recently found birth mom after 59 years. Amom said it’s a good thing she didn’t find you earlier as she said “you are mine” I felt like piece of meat purchased at the grocery store☠️☠️☠️

Never ever thought about it before, found my whole bio family last year now out of the fog! Birth date 1/26, brought me home date 3/28, damm it’s been a long time since my birthday, long time to be in a glass bassinet with no mom??
