So you’re telling me none of you knew the WNBA players were getting financially screwed? You thought Brittney Griner was in Russia for FUN!?
Wow so many financial experts in these comments. It’s actually not that rare for a company to not earn a profit. Should people who work at Blue Apron or Lyft not be paid? nasdaq.com/articles/8-fam…
Is this a good or bad time to promote my show tonight? @LyricHyperion
@megangailey They aren’t getting screwed ma’am. The league loses money. When they start to make more money they will negotiate higher salaries. They currently lose about 10 million a year. Hopefully CC can help that
@megangailey Yet l these WNBA players and fans hate CC who is bringing attention to the sport and could help get them money . Yet they rather her fail . No matter what you think about her game she is great for the WNBA. They need to embrace her not try to tear her down .
Lmao! They bring in zero revenue. The NBA subsidies the whole league. Why should they get “paid” when they don’t provide a revenue stream for owners? They should be happy to are making a decent wage to play a sport as an adult. Maybe a few weeks working a 9-5 will give them perspective.
@megangailey They aren’t getting screwed. They are making a salary proportionate to the revenue generated by the league. If you want salaries to increase you must support the league to increase revenue. This isn’t complicated.
@megangailey How are they getting financially screwed?
@megangailey They’re not getting screwed. They’re making a lot of money compared to the revenue they’re bringing in
@megangailey That is not going to stand. She will make the league millions more when the WNBA ESPN contract is renegotiated. Expect the entire system to be retooled by end summer
