@cfalz001 Now we’re moving with the guest blogs, there are some interesting bits of info coming out of the archives. We know the second alphabet of just 20 names wasn’t done by Johnston but was written up over Christmas 1934. @tabbitha78 is looking into it.
@menofworth @tabbitha78 Goodness knows he and Graily Hewitt trained hundreds of students at the Central School in London to follow in their footsteps- I wonder if it was a former student of theirs?
@cfalz001 @tabbitha78 @tabbitha There are very slight differences in the lettering between the two phases. Wrigglesworth did a very good job but now we know, we can spot them. It looks like a different hand. Compare Johnston on the left with (we think) Wrigglesworth on the right. The spacing is different too.
