I know that a number of people are looking out for progress with this. The new version of my curriculum tool will be shared with a few schools in early October. I just want to make sure that it does all that schools need. Version for schools in England and another for Wales.

The first women’s rugby world cup was very different from the high profile tournament currently taking place. If you would like to learn just how different, I recommend ‘Scrum Queens’ on iPlayer. My sister played in first ever women’s rugby world cup in 1991. Proud of her!

In Bristol developing a tool for schools in Wales and a tool for schools in England. It helps - evaluate provision - identify cross curriculum opportunities - ensure curricular statutory requirements are met - identify gaps in provision - bring clarity to what is taught/ when.

After a busy day, just resting in the shade of a hay bale. Schools can be extremely pressurised places at this time of year. There’s certainly no ‘winding down’ to the end it term. !!!

Dad had the send off he would have wanted. Don’t be sad. He loved life. Just hold close those you love. Don’t assume they will be here forever. Treasure every moment. I will be back to all things school on Monday.

I am now ready to share that my father, John Glavin, died recently. Suddenly without suffering or loss of dignity. He was well, fiercely independent and enjoying life up to the end of his 87 years. He was playing bowls right up to the hour before his death! RIP Dad.

I find it impactful to work alongside governing bodies within their schools. Context is so important. Today my input is around the self -evaluation of the governing body itself and the planning of focussed visits within the established protocol.
