As the person responsible for community safety in Lambeth, this has been a traumatising week. My heart goes out to the family and friends of Sarah Everard. That women cannot walk safely on the streets at any time of the day or night makes me furious -this is our right. 1/2

@NicholasHowes6 Hi, The reasons for disproportionately high sectioning rates are complex, but it isn't always a case of misdiagnosis. Black people are less likely to receive the right treatment and support that could prevent them becoming unwell enough to need sectioning. (1/2)
