You could post this picture of new low-income senior housing on Instagram with a caption like, "Wow, gentrification is out of control in Sacramento" and get a million likes.
@mnolangray The odd thing is that large mansions are never mentioned in gentrification discourse. Only 5-over-1 apartments.
@mnolangray Is this Sacramento? Wow, gentrification is out of control
@mnolangray Proves that aesthetics are kinda important. People will just kneejerk assume buildings in this style are "gentrification" without a second thought
@mnolangray yimby needs more catch words at the power persuasion level of gentrification housing hordefication? idk, something punchy
@mnolangray The design and quality of these types of buildings actually feel like the opposite of gentrification to me. This is what low income housing looks like.
@mnolangray So many people jump to conclusions, but true gentrification often means people like me can't even find a place to live in our own neighborhoods.
@mnolangray I hate this picture so much. That HAWK signal doesn’t even have crosswalk striping associated with it. If the city was serious about pedestrian safety, that would just be a normal traffic signal.
@mnolangray Wow, skyscrapers getting out of control in Sacramento. This supertall of 3 stories has blocked the city
@mnolangray Or around here, "New warehouse opening up" and get hundreds of resumes.
