China will never beat us to ASI. Point to their energy grid and batteries all you want, but China’s only good at taking what works and optimizing the process behind it. They poor resources into what works. The US takes 1% probability, high EV bets.

Can you reasonably discount Anthropic’s valuation based on apocalypse risk? If Anthropic reaches superintelligence, the upside is uncapped, and in the downside case, you don’t care about your lost invested capital because we’d all be dead

@BoringBiz_ Have to disagree.. most PE consists of strapping strong businesses with tremendous amounts of debt to amplify shareholder returns. Every dollar that goes towards debt payments is a dollar that good company can’t use to become a great one. Caveats as always..
