I voted for Boris Johnson to be Mayor in 2008. (Obviously, I've changed my opinion of him since.) One cult tries to use this fact to claim that I must somehow still support him. The other cult has to ignore it to claim that I'd oppose & criticise him no matter what. Stupid cults.
@mrjamesob I think it sums up the problem with an outdated view of leadership. Styling himself on Churchill & positioning of him by advisers and media as a great charismatic leader does everything to deflect from his (in)abilities and record and nothing to scrutinise his views and policies
@mrjamesob Auto-correct just completely changed your message!
@mrjamesob Belong to neither "cult"....I just don't vote tory....never have voted tory...never will vote tory....and have little to no respect for those that do
@mrjamesob I admit I'm surprised you didn't see right through him even back then.
@mrjamesob Two letters down the alphabet from being perfect, #RickyGervais like!
@mrjamesob I recall that Paxman said in his superb book “The Political Animal” that only in religion and politics is it seen as a positive virtue to have not changed your mind on something for 20+ years. He writes that he doesn’t think it’s a coincidence.
