Sight word game: Start with just a few and slowly add more. Sight words are written on the top of plastic containers. The child tosses the ball and reads/records the sight word it lands on. This can also be done with the alphabet or shapes! #mancusoplayandlearn

Setting the table: using symbols to represent numbers. How many plates, utensils, cups... do we need? Involve adding and subtracting by suggesting to remove a plate because a family member is no longer hungry. How can you show the number of chairs you used? #mancusoplayandlearn

You can use just about anything you find in the house for this! Spoons and forks. Pasta, fruit, beans..... take a walk around the house and search for patterns! Use a 100s chart to search for number patterns! Count by 2, 5, and 10! #mancusoplayandlearn

Math exercise: counting loose parts that you have at home? Guess the number first, count them out together, find the number on a 100s chart! How close was your guess? Get other family members to guess? Who was closest to the correct number? #mancusoplayandlearn
