I thought this school year would be better, but it isn’t. This year is destroying teachers. I am so tired that I literally hurt. Schools may be the best place for kids, but I don’t know how we come back from this. 1/🧵

Yesterday at school a 6 year-old asked me if there was COVID in the North Pole where Santa lives? She said, “I know it’s everywhere, but is it there too? The kids are worried Santa is going to get sick and Christmas will be canceled next year. When will this end? #COVID

Not happy, but not surprised by tonight’s HOD @CTULocal1 vote. I won’t be voting yes on Friday to ratify the agreement. I couldn’t help but wondering….how this would have turned out if those in power and their children were getting sick and dying of #COVID19 #heartbroken

Took my PCR COVID test at school on Monday. Never got the results because @ChiPubSchools locked me out of my email. Been taking at home rapid tests since Tuesday. Spent $50 to ensure I wasn’t sick and wouldn’t get my family sick. @CTULocal1 #LoriLockout
