Sometimes, kids make bad choices. Sometimes, they really screw up. We hold them accountable... but we can also extend some grace. They need to know we still like them. They need to learn a lesson... but it is never constructive when they feel alienated from us.

Teachers… it’s not about the lesson; it’s about the learning. Leaders… it’s not about the meeting; it’s about the collaboration.

I have been thinking about the strengths of students. Some students are very independent. This is great for self-teaching or independent play times. It is important to see the strengths of all students in different contexts and encourage them in they ways they succeed!
