Elon Musk vs Mukesh Ambani - what is the real game?

🙏🪷Very scary, be careful. This scam can be brutal. You may lose all your financial capabilities within 30 minutes.🪷🙏

Warren Buffett bought Apple when almost everyone thought the iPhone boom was over. In 2016 the stock traded at about 11 times earnings. Apple also had a huge pile of cash on its books. Take that cash out and he was paying about 8 times earnings for the actual business. That price is what made the difference. The same company at 30 times earnings is a fine business. At 8 times earnings after cash, it was a bargain with a wide margin of safety. Berkshire first bought a little over $1 billion of stock at about $25 a share after adjusting for the later split. Then Buffett kept buying. The average price he paid was about $36 a share. All in, Berkshire put about $40 billion into Apple. On top of the stock gains, Apple kept sending Berkshire cash every quarter. Even after selling most of the stake, Berkshire still collected about $280 million in Apple dividends in one recent year. At the peak of the holding those checks were far larger, running toward $1 billion a year. Over the full decade the dividends added billions more on top of the rise in the share price. He did not buy a gadget company. He bought a brand people would not leave, a machine that printed cash, and a board that used that cash to buy back its own stock. People were selling a great company as if it were leftover junk. He treated it like a business he wanted to own for a decade. The cheap entry is why a ten bagger happened in the most well known company in the world.

@DietDrsayajirao flights means? How to count?

A former Japanese official who was personally involved in the Mumbai Ahmedabad Shinkansen project has expressed deep anguish over its setbacks. He criticises the Indian side’s repeated recklessness, breaking promises, flipping positions at the last minute, and prioritising self interest till the end. He notes that even the minister in charge was particularly difficult, making decent negotiations nearly impossible. Despite Japanese teams pouring their hearts into the project, he is 100% convinced that the lack of progress is entirely on the Indian side. Prime Minister Takaichi’s recent visit also yielded no breakthrough. Japan has now been excluded from the signal system, the critical safety backbone, according to Toyo Keizai Online. This is profoundly disappointing for a flagship India Japan collaboration. Reliable execution and keeping commitments are essential if we want such high impact infrastructure projects to succeed.

I don't know why people are so disconnected from reality. Saw a post saying Rs 40 crores must for retirement in India. Do you know how big is Rs.40 crores? In India, only 0.04% of households have it In the richest country of the world, USA, only 4% of households have it If you take the entire world consisting of both rich and poor countries, just 0.13% of households have it. Even Rs 4 crores is difficult for 99% of the population. Saying Rs.40 crores is required for retirement only demotivate people because they can never reach there. These kind of posts at best serve as irritants.

My honest assessment is things look very ugly as on date. US troops are likely to do ground invasion of Iran this week. Huge casualities are being feared. Lot of critical infrastructure are being severely attacked across the entire gulf region. Houthis, backed by Iran, have taken control of Bab el Mandeb strait in red sea. This further chokes the movement from gulf with Strait of Hormuz already under Iran's control. Iran is being actively helped by both Russia and China. The more America try to destroy Iran, Iran would focus on destroying Israel and entire gulf region. Gulf can be rendered useless and uninhabitable. We don't know when and where this conflict would stop. If it intensifies, getting sufficient crude, gas, fertilizers and many other essentials for modern life would be a huge problem for the entire world. This would lead to run away inflation where poor suffer much more than rich. Interest rates would spike across the world. US and other developed countries would find it very difficult service their ballooning debt. Many years of global recession cannot be ruled out. This is the worst being envisaged. There is no point even getting into scenario where nuclear warheads may be used. It would be extremely catastrophic. War can end as ordinary Americans are strongly opposing this. Trump and MAGA are becoming so unpopular which may lead to loss of midterm elections later this year by Republicans. If Democrats get the control, there are huge chances that Trump may be impeached. If sense prevails on America and they stop attacking Iran and withdraw from the war, US is unlikely to enjoy hegemony once it used to enjoy. Thanks to Trump, countries have completely lost trust in US. Be it Europe, Russia, China, Japan, India and even gulf countries - everyone is finding it difficult to trust and work with US. Even if things get better, it may happen only after much more damage is caused. Hold on to your existing investments and continue SIPs. Don't deploy emergency or safe money into markets. No one knows whether things would recover in few months or few years. Focus on your career, ensure you are employed, develop skills which can keep you employable and wait for good times. Mentally get ready for a period of pain. If it doesn't happen, well and good for us. If it happens, we are emotionally ready to handle the same.

Today, on his birth anniversary, sharing a few thoughts on Parag Parikh, a respected name in value investing. > Born in Mumbai in 1954. Completed his Master's in Commerce & Economics. > Parag Parikh chose investing over traditional business. > He became a broker by selling family jewellery, a decision driven by conviction, not comfort. > When most brokers focused on tips, he focused on research. > His disciplined approach attracted serious investors and led to the launch of his PMS in 1996. > During the dotcom bubble, he warned investors about overvalued tech stocks. Markets kept rising, many clients left, but he stayed true to his principles. > To deepen his understanding, he studied Behavioral Finance at Harvard, reinforcing his belief that markets are driven by both numbers and emotions. > In 2013, he closed his successful PMS (21% CAGR) and launched PPFAS Mutual Fund so common investors could benefit from long term, ethical investing. > He avoided hype. No aggressive marketing, No fancy promises, and complete skin in the game. > He believed the stock market is like farming, you don't dig up seeds every day to check progress. Patience and time create the real wealth. > Inspired by Warren Buffett, he authored Stocks to Riches and Value Investing & Behavioral Finance. > On 3 May 2015, while returning from a Berkshire Hathaway AGM, Parag Parikh passed away in a tragic accident at the age of 60. > Today, PPFAS AMC manages ₹1.5 lakh crore in AUM, having flourished on the values he established. > His son Neil Parikh, along with the team, continues to carry his legacy forward. > As an investor, I have learned valuable lessons from his value investing philosophy and mutual fund schemes. A heartfelt tribute to Parag Parikh sir.🙏

No one in the government has any experience of ever selling a financial product. The domestic monthly SIP inflow is cited as panacea for all market problems. Speak to say mutual fund distributors. You would know how investors are getting nervous. How much SIP stoppage is increasing? They're either seeing no returns or even negative returns. As negative returns keeps going up, first they would stop SIPs. If it becomes significant, they would redeem the fund to buy a land very near Chennai, which would be 200 kilometers away from the city. Ultimately for vast majority of investors, returns, that too recent returns matters a lot. There is no point in blaming them. Blaming them is blaming human nature. They can't be otherwise. Very small percentage of people only can manage their temperament well. That's why only very few create big wealth from markets. Let us assume markets don't improve and keeps going down till next budget. Let us then see what is the monthly inflow of domestic money through SIPs. Finance ministry people neither understand markets nor human nature. Pension funds who are also part of FII category has mandate to stay invested for long term. These kind of locked -in float in markets provide stability and set the floor for market falls. Why a rich country like say Singapore is very keen on capital flows, including FIIs. That's because the policy makers understand the need and benefits of foreign inflows. Here we are relying on retail investors to continue supporting the market. As a category, retail investors do not have ability to keep on supplying such capital and human psychology would make them quit markets if they don't see returns for say more than couple of years. All markets need both fundamentals and liquidity. Indian stock market is already shallow. Curbing liquidity by making trading expensive and offering no incentives for FII to stop taking their capital, lack of liquidity would pose many problems. Our policy makers again has no clue about need for liquidity. Be stock specific in investing and wait for good times.
