I've designed Factions in MUD not as teams, much more as strategic allegiances in a world where everything is owned and survival is key. Salaryman. Robin Mud. Militia and Militia Defectors. The Elites. World Peace Rebels.. Not good guys and bad guys. Every character has Alignment, even though elites are mostly Evil aligned, there are Chaotic Good among them, Lawful Good even. And just the same, World Peace Rebels have their fair share of true neutrals and evils, using world peace as a means to scratch ugly itches inside their souls. @mudonchain

contracts for MUD are 99% finished. spent way too much time on it but for a non-dev artist I guess the final result is quite good. composability is one of the main aspects of the collection an it will be achieved beautifully.

MUD is a universe a text-based onchain collection a sandbox adventure a fictional world closer to reality than we dare to admit MUD stands for multiple things. An ode to the old-school Multi-User Dungeon games of the early internet era. Also the literal mud, the perennial sludge filling the streets of the Managed Urban Districts where the vast majority of the population decays. A near-future technofeudalist dystopia. Corporations own everything. They are the government. "Public" no longer exists. Roads? Running water? A driver's license? All subscriptions. Miss a payment and your rights are revoked instantly. Militias are eager to enforce it. Up in the arcologies, the Pro Max elite live in comfort. Down in the mud, everyone else survives on whatever tier they can afford. The world, onchain Lore tokens comprehend a small part of supply. The foundation of MUD universe is built inside these, each a unique piece of text describing the lore. Factions, culture, story arcs. Character Tokens: citizens defined by specific onchain properties: Faction, Class, Moral Alignment, Story Arc and a few more. Every character lives inside a specific context in MUD's history. In MUD nothing is given and nothing is certain. Lore gives you the foundation of the world. Lore tokens map out the edges of the universe, but the truth of what actually happened on The OpenAPI Heist remains a mystery waiting to be assembled. What could be done with it? - Collect your own set of traits. Pick a faction, some World Peace Rebels to achieve the ultimate goal, or heck it.. build an army of full Chaotic Evil Militia soldiers. Maybe go after as much characters as possible of the same arc and make something out of it. - Take your assets into onchain and offchain text adventures built by the core team and community ecosystem. - Construct the story: The project is CC0/composable. write lore, generate art, run your own game, launch a token. The sky is the limit, at least as high up as the corporate arcologies go. Welcome to MUD. Life is cheap and comfort is a currency.
