Ian Botham said, "In India, it's all IPL. They won't watch Test Cricket. We're lucky in England, all the Tests are sold out for The Ashes. In Australia, if England is playing you'll get 75-80,000 on Boxing Day". (To Mirror Sport).
@mufaddal_vohra It is the bitter truth, Mufa That is why even our players admit that the feeling is different when they play down under or in England. T20 is great for excitement and entertainment but true character is revealed in Tests.
@mufaddal_vohra He has not been to eden gardens since he bowled with a rubber ball.
@mufaddal_vohra True. Stadium facilities have to be blamed for this. IPL is 3-4 hours of burst of energy. Test cricket is whole day, a bit slow. You have to create a full experience around test cricket, which England, Australia, even SA and NZ do. In India, even basic facilities are absent.
@mufaddal_vohra Ian botham kaun hai Sachin se bada Khilada hai kya?
@mufaddal_vohra In Australia, they only come for Ashes and BGT. Just check the numbers for the recent West Indies series.
@mufaddal_vohra There is a point though … even those who doesn’t know cricket in India 🇮🇳 sits & watches IPL matches .. it is colourful & attractive 😁
