🚨‼️Marriage is not two people promising perfection; it’s two sinners promising forgiveness. That’s why the modern world is terrible at it. They want Disney romance without Calvary sacrifice. They want chemistry without covenant, intimacy without responsibility, and compatibility without sanctification. That’s not marriage, that’s romance marketing. A Christian marriage is a workshop, not a honeymoon suite. God uses it as a forge to temper pride, selfishness, impatience, and rebellion. Husbands learn to lead by dying; wives learn to follow by trusting; both learn to love by forgiving. The Devil hates that forge, because the hammering makes saints out of sinners. The world says “find someone who completes you.” The Bible says “find someone who sharpens you.” Sparks fly in a forge, not in a fairy tale. A Christian spouse isn’t a soulmate who eliminates problems; they’re a helpmeet who exposes them so grace can solve them. If that sounds unromantic, you’ve never tasted the romance of the cross. A good marriage is not built on compatibility, but on covenant. Compatibility changes with chemistry and circumstances; covenant holds when chemistry evaporates. When two believers anchor to Christ rather than emotions, storms stop being threats and start being testimonies. That’s God’s design, not easy, but eternal.

15 things to do with your father while he is still alive. I lost mine 8 years ago. 1. Ask him what he was like at your age because once he was the same age you are right now & Watch his face light up as he tells you stories from when he was younger 2. Record his laugh when he tells one of his signature jokes. Someday you will replay the video over and over just to hear it again 3. Ask him about the proudest moment of his life. (Odds are he will say when you were born) 4. Ask him his favourite songs Listen to them together, laugh, sing and be happy. These will become your most cherished memories in years to come 5. This image was shared with me by a dear follower who sincerely asked whether this practice is biblically correct, so here is my response grounded in Scripture. This board is spiritual abuse, not biblical stewardship. It weaponizes Scripture, shames consciences, and rips Malachi 3:8 out of its covenantal context. 1. Malachi 3:8 is NOT addressed to the church Malachi is speaking to national Israel under the Mosaic Covenant. The priests were corrupt and the people were withholding the covenant tithe, which God had ordained to support the Levites and maintain the temple service. The tithe was not money given to pastors. It was agricultural produce for the support of Levites and care for the poor Deuteronomy 14:22–29. There is no temple, no Levitical priesthood, no land covenant today. To lift Malachi 3 and paste it onto the church is bad theology. 2. The New Testament NEVER commands tithing to the church Not once. Not to Gentiles. Not to believers. Not to churches. Instead, giving in the New Testament is: Voluntary “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion” 2 Corinthians 9:7 According to ability “They gave according to their means, and beyond their means” 2 Corinthians 8:3 Without coercion or threat “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” 2 Corinthians 3:17 A “Non-Tithers Board” is compulsion, public shaming, and fear-based control. That alone disqualifies it as Christian. 3. Jesus condemned religious leaders who used money to burden people Jesus rebuked the Pharisees not for failing to collect money, but for devouring widows’ houses under religious pretense Mark 12:40. This board does exactly that. It pressures the weak. It shames the poor. It intimidates consciences. James warns churches explicitly against this kind of partiality and public humiliation James 2:1–6. 4. Giving is an act of worship, not a membership tax In the New Testament, giving flows from grace, not fear. “You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ… though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor” 2 Corinthians 8:9. You do not motivate grace with threats. You do not produce generosity with intimidation. You do not measure faithfulness with a ledger. 5. God is not robbed by His redeemed children God does not need your money. “The cattle on a thousand hills are Mine” Psalm 50:10. He owns all things. The cross settled the debt. The church is not a tax office. If a church must shame people publicly to fund itself, it has already confessed its lack of trust in God.

I was talking recently with someone who is at the apex of his field globally, and he told me Psalm 37:4 carried him through a season of chaos and disappointment. I went back and studied not just the verse but the two that follow, and I haven’t been the same since. “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” It says DELIGHT. Not obey, not tolerate, not fear. Basically enjoy. That word changes everything. God isn’t after robotic compliance. He wants to be the center of gravity in your inner world. Not a side interest. Not a Sunday ritual. The thing your mind returns to when everything goes quiet. But here’s the tension: how do you actually enjoy God? We enjoy the things we enjoy cos we understand them. You can’t enjoy football if you don’t understand the point of the game. You can’t love someone deeply if you don’t know who they actually are or what moves them. The same applies to God. You start by understanding who He is and why He exists. God didn’t create us out of loneliness or need. He existed in perfect, self-sufficient love before time began. Creation was overflow, not deficit. Which means His desire for you is based on communion. His purpose is to unite the world to Himself because in Him is the only source of actual life. When God becomes what delights you, something both subtle and seismic happens: your desires change. Whatever delights you shapes what you love and what you chase. Anyone who’s ever been in love knows this instinctively. So when the Psalm says He will give you the desires of your heart, it’s not promising to grant your current cravings. It’s saying He rewrites your appetite entirely. He plants His own longings inside you, for truth, depth, holiness, courage, love and then fulfills what He Himself planted. God never fails to accomplish His own desires. That’s why verse 5 feels so dangerous: “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will bring it to pass.” We recoil from that line cos we think surrender means erasure, as if God wants to override who we are. But why would a God who was already complete need to dominate us? Everything about His nature points the opposite direction; toward overwhelming, self-giving love. He is more sufficient in Himself than a father without children, yet He sustains us more faithfully than any earthly father ever could. Our desires are often small and short-sighted, like a child demanding candy instead of dreaming of a future. We insist we know what we want. We’re adults with full agency. But God is infinitely greater, infinitely wiser, not just as a father compared to a child, but as the eternal architect of reality compared to one of His creations. He knows what will actually make us whole. Now look how the passage ends: “He will bring forth your righteousness like the dawn, and your justice like the noonday sun.” It doesn’t say His righteousness. It says yours. He will vindicate you, reveal the truth about who you are, and set things right. The sequence is crisp and beautiful. God captures your heart, redirects your path, then restores your name. And He does it emphatically; like the noonday sun. You can’t miss it. You can’t ignore it. You can’t pretend it’s not there.

Many people don’t know that when the Bible says Jesus was laid in a manger, the Greek word for manger is “phatnē” which refers to a feeding trough, and many in Bethlehem were made of stone. Here’s what’s powerful: Shepherds in the Bethlehem region were known for raising sacrificial lambs for the Temple. When a lamb was born, it was carefully inspected for blemishes and often placed in a manger or trough to protect it from injury because a damaged lamb could not be offered to God. So when the Lamb of God entered the world, He was laid in the *very place* where sacrificial lambs were kept. And who did the angels announce His birth to? Shepherds. Not kings. Not priests. Shepherds—men who understood sacrifice, blood, purity, and lambs without blemish. When the angels said, “You will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger” (Luke 2:12), it was a sign they would immediately recognize. This child wasn’t just a baby. He was the final Lamb. The One who would take away the sin of the world. From the moment He was born, Jesus was marked for sacrifice—not by men, but by God. ✨ “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29)
