shuffling an album on a first listen is ontologically evil
@musicstruggles1 ive never seen the word ontological before
@musicstruggles1 But designing your album to be shuffled is based
@musicstruggles1 ALBUMS ARE SEQUENCED!! HOW THEY’RE SEAUENCED!! FOR A REASON!!!!
@musicstruggles1 It also sucks because it serves as justification for those ridiculous pressers for pop albums where they’re like “they’ve designed the album very intentionally to be listened to in order.”
@musicstruggles1 Yeah. When I find a new band to listen to all their albums go in order on a playlist and I listen in order from beginning to end.
@musicstruggles1 I remember when Spotify put albums on shuffle unless you paid for the service.
@musicstruggles1 does 'ontological' just not mean anything anymore then.
@musicstruggles1 That's a chronical level of Spotify Free usage. I know because I suffer from it too. But I would never think to play an album that way.
