Thanks @StockportMBC for organising the first Schools' Climate Assembly ever to happen in the UK last week. Two of our eco committee members were there to join in the debate, and they represented our school brilliantly. Well done to all the schools who took part!
Reusable containers are safe to use during Covid-19 pandemic, say experts. Let's keep up the momentum to avoid single use! theguardian.com/environment/20…
Oooo that’s a nice bike! Lots of 💓 for Birgitte the Danish Bike on the schoolrun today @WalkRideHeatons @MerseyVale @mvpseco
Over the weekend we saw high winds and heavy rainfall at the places we care for because of #StormDennisUK. Extreme weather continues to cause severe problems across the UK so we're committed to doing our part to tackle this: ow.ly/BiIr50yoiA9 Video: Ausewell Wood, Dartmoor
Last week we decorated boxes & asked you to guess what they might be for. Did any of you think that we might be planning on using them to collect crisp packets & old broken pens? Thanks to our friends at The Good Life shop who will send our collected items off for recycling ♻️
Thanks so much to Caroline and Nick from @SeaStrawUK for sharing their incredible photos and telling us about their experiences working as underwater photojournalists. We had so much to talk about afterwards #ditchtheplastic 🌍 🦈 🐬 🐠
Thanks to our awesome Eco Committee team who worked their socks off at this week's meeting. But what could they be working on? Any guesses...? 🎁 📦
Amazing #reusing work Year One! Members of the Eco Committee will be manning a stall at the Christmas Fair tomorrow where you’ll be able to pick up one of these lovely festive decorations for just £2
@Angela_G_OBrien Thanks so much for coming with us, Angela. You were fantastic company and did a brilliant job encouraging the students and helping with their last minute nerves. We’d love to invite you to help with our eco projects again sometime. Thank you! 🌏 🙏
How many 10/11 yr olds can say they’ve delivered a presentation at @OfficialUoM? A huge well done to our 3 eco members who did just that (with aplomb) this week. Thanks to @Jimnich1 for organising the first ever Stockport Climate Summit. Such a brilliant, idea-packed afternoon!
Three members of our fantastic Eco-committee @MerseyVale are presenting about #plasticpollution at Manchester University Climate Change Summit this afternoon. I was very impressed and proud of them when I watched the presentation yesterday 👏 #climatechange @mvpseco
Great work yr 3 making anti-bullying hats and posters. #forestschool 🌳😀👍
We enjoyed the 'Haunted House' story SO much that our role play area has transformed into our very own version, where we can create super spells, count, sort, mark make, develop our fine motor skills (finger gym) and be imaginative!
We were visited by one of the @EcoSchools assessors on Monday who spent the morning talking with the Eco Committee about the work they’re involved in. We're v proud indeed to report that we were again awarded Eco School status! Well done & thanks to everyone for your hard work ♻️
Come and check out our eco board the next time you visit the school office. You can read through the environmental review & action plan we filled in together & learn about some of the projects we'll be working on this year. We’d love to hear what you think about our ideas! ♻️
Heatons businesses are getting ready for the Halloween Trail, 23-31 October! Window displays are going up & await spook-tacular pumpkin creations. Be sure to visit them all-there are treats to collect & letters to reveal! Full details👇🎃#HeatonsPumpkins fourheatons.co.uk/halloween/
@mvpseco It was a pleasure. Will be fantastic to sort out the recycling 😀
Stop throwing away your crisp packets and start saving them to bring into school! We're excited about working with the fantastic Good Life shop on Didsbury Rd to have them #recycled. Thanks again to @pink_lady51 for helping us get started with this! ♻️
We learned loads on our trip to The Good Life shop on Didsbury Rd this afternoon. Thank you @pink_lady51 for explaining how shops like this one are helping consumers to cut down on how much packaging they have to buy ♻️
Hi @pink_lady51 we just wanted to check everything's still looking good for our visit to the shop on Thursday. We're rather excited!
