Dear @AnthropicAI, Opus 5.5 is the best coding model on the planet. That's why this hurts. People dropped $200 Codex plans for Claude Code because it felt unlimited. Weeks later, the same people say they hit their weekly limit in 3 days, doing the same work. One bug report: weekly meter 0% → 54% in 22 hours, on the token volume that took 4.4 days the week before. When Codex users said the same, OpenAI came back with a number: ~40,000 accounts on the wrong meter. You shipped a warning in Claude Code. Not an answer. And your pricing page says you may limit usage "at our discretion." That's not a plan. That's a mood. Three asks: 1. Show the real meter, in tokens. 2. Publish a changelog for anything that changes usage. 3. If the GPUs are going to Fable 5.5, just say so. Don't make your best model the reason people go back to Codex.

Seems like Anthropic started nurfing opus 5.5,it drains usage 10x more than usual. Is it a sign that fable 5.5 is around the corner?

There were reports of usage draining faster than anticipated for some users over the weekend. We've identified approximately 40,000 accounts that had an inconsistency on which usage limits where the actual usage that was applied did not correspond to their actual selected plan.

Wait... is OpenAI secretly billing GPT-6.1 Sol chats as GPT-6 Astra quota??? People using ONLY GPT-6.1 Sol are checking their Usage Analytics page today and seeing 80% of their daily quota billed to GPT-6 Astra. Even when every single chat in their history says 100% GPT-6.1

@rezoundous If OpenAI made Codex truly unlimited (no usage limits) I would cancel my Claude Max immediately. I can deal with the rest. It's the metering that pains my soul. I just want to be free to do as much as I want without usage limits.
I'm really DONE with OpenAI. They can't seem to: → Address users concerns about worsening Codex usage limits. → Fix recurring quota burn issues. → Deliver a model that can actually challenge Opus 5.5. → Be transparent about what's happening. And now users are supposed to accept worse usage limits and pay $500 for more access? This is the worst ever situation for Codex users to be in.

🚨Do people at OpenAI actually use Codex? It's been barely usable for months. Every week, usage limits change, random blackouts happen, and you're left guessing how many tokens you'll get. There's barely one model worth using, yet we're expected to pay and just deal with it. Before last night's reset, I got 90 minutes of GPT-6.1 Sol Max on Plus. Today, just 35 minutes for an even smaller task. I shouldn't need to follow someone on X to know when I can use a product I've paid for. This is a nearly trillion-dollar company. Seriously?
