We find granzyme positive CD8 T cells next to degenerating neurons in hippocampi of Alzheimer’s patients. A smoking gun and a dead body but more work will be needed to prove that that gun killed the neuron. In our latest preprint we introduce the falcon spectrum clustering tool. It uses feature hashing to convert high-resolution MS/MS spectra to low-dimensional vectors, fast similarity searching, and density-based clustering to efficiently process millions of MS/MS spectra.
