I can only say I love you if I can see things through your eyes; I can only say I love you if I can take your perspective.
The Principle of Zen is complete Freedom-Dogen. Freedom is understanding when we are misunderstood;loving when we are told we are not loved.
Our practice: to detach, to let go of each thought, each feeling, all desires -- all through our conscious moments. And yet... to pray.
To sit until not an iota in your being desires anything -- nothing to desire, not even a beautiful experience of nothingness.
What is our practice? Felling joy when we love; letting go even when difficult; loneliness when it is there; gratitude when we receive grace
When we think of a friend,let us share with them the tender thought we had; never let a beautiful feeling be left unshared; Say I LOVE YOU!
Our practice makes us sensitive. Are our perceptions correct? If beautiful, be grateful; if not let us sit more till all we see is beauty.
A speck of dust -- perfect and beautiful; the situation we are in -- a gift; how can it be talked about on the level of right and wrong?
Leaving tomorrow for the NASZ sesshin. Will remember each one of you and sit for you during the sesshin.
Patience, that is your true self. Waiting, where is the waiting? NO waiting.
Grumpy, grouchy, dull, slow -- not wanting to see that side of ourselves, not wanting others to see us that way -- that us just ego.
Allow ourselves to explode with gratitude for all the beauty around us, previously unseen. For all the care and concern sometimes unknown.
We long to stay in the world of oneness, where death is birth. But longing is desire -- a lack of integration, so, we gently put it aside.
Are you hurting? Allow it to permeate your entire being until you reach the core of the reality of the hurt -- and this is totally NO HURT.
Sit easy. Let thoughts, feelings, desires surface and then gently put them aside. Letting go ever so gently. With no effort & no pain, BE.
BE the breath. Just the breath. No desires. No intentions. No objectives. Just letting go. BE the letting go.
I am the heart grieving the loss of a loved one; the pain of not seeing his body; to touch him who looked at me & smiled. I am the yearning.
