one of the greatest things about the LLM wave is that human to human communication requires a degree of informality. to speak properly is for the machines
Working with GPT-5 in chat is tough because it's information overload. There's 5 good things to do in response to a question where I was trying to solve 1 problem
absolutely fascinating seeing reddit enspirited folks up in arms over the deprecation of a clearly lame model
So far the only thing about GPT-5 I don't like is that it always ends a message with some kind of offer to do something. That offer hasn't once been close to what I actually want to do next, and usually its ideas for what to do next are just kind of baffling
completely and unambiguously converted to ghostty once I discovered it implemented all the system level keyboard shortcuts most terminal apps suck at
maybe i try to make a habit of posting beats. i usually do something new every day
the dhh interview was really interesting btw. he’s interested in very different things than me but extremely philosophically aligned. usually when lex interviews tech stalwarts it makes me feel like i don’t have the “right” mindset for tech
