Stroke remains to be one of the largest causes of disability in adults. It isn’t an old persons’ disease. We are seeing an ⬆️ in younger,working age patients admitted. Be FAST aware. But, remember FAST doesn’t cover all stroke symptoms. If in ANY doubt, get checked and don’t wait

This week we launch the Stroke & Neuro REHAB FILE. Each patient will receive their personalised file. It will be a way of logging their progress and provide a point of interaction for families, patients and the MDT. Come on team @ward6strokeunit let’s do this together! @BTHFT

***STROKE UNITS*** can you help us with some queries about other units: 1) what is your average LOS for a stroke (estimate is fine) 2) what seating do you use for your pts once home? Do you use standard WC’s/rea azalea type chairs? Do you gain static seating at home prior to D/C?
