As a banker based in Makati, I was part of civil society that pressured the Senate to impeach Joseph Estrada and the former President to step down. We PCIBankers are proud of Clarissa Grey who bravely testified in the Senate that Estrada signed trust documents as Joseph Velarde. As part of the crowd that marched from Ayala to Ortigas, I am aghast at the current Senate's action to honor a deposed President accused of funds misuse. On May 2025, we should change the composition of the Senate and elect candidates who honor history and public accountability. Some members of the poor may sell their votes for measly pesos, but we the broad middle classes who toil honestly and pay taxes religiously do not like being spat at. Don't you feel sick seeing our society going to moral decay? Don't you feel sick in the stomach seeing our leaders govern badly, treat us like shit, misuse public money, and sell our national patrimony to foreign & local groups with vested interests? Let us change things please in May 2025.

'STOP MAKING PEOPLE BEG. GIVE THEM DECENT JOBS' "Lawmakers, senators and congress members, have no business in distributing cash assistance to the people. Their only job was to legislate and see to it the budget was spent effectively through their oversight functions." #News5

We the broad middle classes who bear the brunt of financing this nation are not placated by half-hearted attempts to trim a pork-laden budget. We are disappointed and still angry. Society falters and political upheavals happen when the broad middle classes get weary.

It’s the 288B congressional insertions that should have been vetoed. In short, it’s all just for PR to placate an angry citizenry. But do NOT be fooled. The President and the economic managers simply conceded to the decisions of the Bicam. Talo pa rin ang taxpayers.

The 2025 National Budget is a patronage budget not a people-centered budget. Isa lang ibig sabihin nyan: Mga politiko magbebenepisyo sa pinaghirapan natin tax money. This is UNACCEPTABLE!

For the nth time, this is the worst budget in history! We continue to express our dismay over the excesses of the Bicam! President Marcos and the Bicam should fix this!

Budget analyst Zy-za Suzara calls the proposed 2025 budget the "worst national budget" she has ever seen, saying it solely favors politicians and no part of it responds to the most urgent socio-economic development needs of the country. #ANCHeadstart

Economics is the art and science of resource allocation. We hope the government officials who make and approve the budget listen to economists. Economics serves the people. Thank you to Philippine Economic Society for recommending the best and highest use of our scarce resources, and making a stand on behalf of the greater majority of our people.

@LevyReyesLive @AlfonsoCorpuz Regardless, you wouldn't know these heroes by name or face had they not been on the peso bills. Heroes on peso bills remind us of things we take for granted like independence.

UTANG NA LOOB, BUMOTO KAYO SA 2025. Kailangang ng kaalyadong Oposisyon si @risahontiveros sa Senado. I still can't believe we have Bong Go, Robin Padilla, & Bato as Senators. We used to have brilliant legal minds & statesmen in the Senate. Now, we only mostly have bobo Trapos.

Reading rationale for budget cuts is like watching Battle of the Brainless. Poe & Villar: Inefficient ang Philhealth so tanggalan ng subsidy (let paying members pay for non-paying members). Rep. Rodge Gutierrez: Di ma-account ni Sara yung DepEd funds so bawasan budget ni Sonny.

Who will balance the power abuse of legislature if the executive tacitly supports them while the judiciary unsurprisingly acts and reacts like a sloth? >:(

What kind of national budget is this? At least Php214.8B was slashed from major departments like DA, DepEd, DOH, DOLE, DSWD, DOTr, and CHED. At least Php97.6B was slashed from the national gov't subsidies to GOCCs Php40.5B was slashed from Special Purpose Funds.

The guarantee letters for health needs from politicians should be eliminated; it’s not a structured social health insurance! That’s dehumanizing 🥲

PHILHEALTH’S ₱600B RESERVE FUND IS REQUIRED BY LAW - Itm’s not “excess” or “unused” as some politicians would like you to believe. PhilHealth is REQUIRED to maintain it in case of unexpected events. Why does @SenGracePOE want it depleted??
