Universal Dependencies capture the bare bones of syntactic structure w/ crosslinguistic terminology, but they don't make explicit, e.g., the range of ways different languages form existential sentences! The paper suggests a path forward for annotating such constructions atop UD.

We typologically define meaning-based constructions and connect them to language-specific strategies, which we automatically annotate using Grew rules over the existing UD annotation. Here's an example of partial queries for the existential construction:
