Garnacho is everything that this fanbase(some part of it at least) paints Rashford to be. Ungrateful, selfish, egotistical and a talent (though good) that does not match the size of his ego. In this market, a 21 yr old with his cv is easily 50m.

No offence- but these boomer takes from the so called legends is way out of order. They just want to think they have seen players like Bumrah before but he is one of a kind and needs to be managed. Not even the great Kapil Dev was as good as Bumrah.

One thing we should say is - the captaincy from Shubman today morning was outstanding. Kept the fielders everywhere needed, saved runs and still kept attacking. Tactical nous. He made mistakes over the series, but learnt along the way. Kudos to the team management for today too.

The series delivered!! 2-2 is a fair result. So many iconic images- Pant and Woakes walking out with injuries,the Siraj heartbreak at Lords and redemption at Oval, Root breaking records, Gill with tons of runs(balls), Stokes’ lungbusting spell, the theatrics and verbal sparring.

It would have been a travesty if the lasting image of the series for Siraj would have been the dropped catch or the bowled at Lords. He deserved this redemption arc- the passion, skill and temperament he showed deserved this.

Prasidh had some words for Root and pretty sure Root told Prasidh to F off right before the ball they got into that altercation. Root is usually a calm person wonder what was said to make him react. At least Prasidh is bowling with some venom after that- 90mph regularly.

No matter how many bowlers India play in their 11, Washington looks good enough to play in the top 6. Top class technically. He is an upgrade on Jadeja the batter (Jaddu at 25 was never this good) -a worthy successor when he retires. He is definitely not a number 8.

Wise decision. Stress fractures and back injuries are not to be messed with. He is India’s best asset over three formats- and needs to be preserved. Stress injuries heal with rest and recovery and he will play more in the future. 4 years>one test..

This is horrible from GG. The superiority complex in telling a guy that he is just a groundsman. It’s like a common situation in Ind where u demean somebody for their job. Whatever the reason behind he should not have said that and the curator deserves an apology.
