Bluntly not a fan of this, albeit it's a very challenging problem to solve. But as of now I think the solution is damaging to the early users, and those who minted in the last week, even more so I don't envy the position of trying to solve this, but I will say: 1. It is a positive, however hard you have to skew to see it, that they are acting quickly on closing down attack vectors - this should be priority no.1 and with a non-transferable token, the second part can be worked out in time. If you reverse the order, there is nothing left to be saved 2. Whilst the token remains non-transferrable there is still time for the team and community to iterate on this and work out a better/more balanced path forward and I hope people do come forward with ideas 3. As far as I can tell the team are smart, but also willing to listen to others and suggestions to improve, and I believe in an ideal world they want a solution that balances protecting the protocol as well as rewarding users, so if that can be found - I do believe they'd listen However, for now, this is a pretty disappointing update and think the sustainability of a protocol depends both on its technical risk and social risk (obviously with 1 being more black and white than the other). So whilst this is understandable, in its current form, it is incredibly damaging to the social risk of papertrade and believe it probably won't survive in the meaningful way people had hoped, without further iteration on this model Overall, Disappointed, but hopeful a better solution can be found in time, and the non-transferability gives time for that solution to be found.
