So basically, while everyone is watching what is happening between M23, the Congolese government and Rwanda, there could also be serious disagreements happening inside M23 itself. And honestly, this is something we should pay attention to because when a rebel movement starts having a power struggle among its own leaders, things can change very quickly. Africa Intelligence says the failed attempt against Makenga has exposed deeper divisions within the movement.
