It is believed that the name "Shahabad" came to it after the victory of the region by Babar in 1529 from the Afgan ruler as the victorious army camped here in Arrah. However, there is no proof of it as such. Shahabad means city of Emperor. (BDG-1906) #Bihar #rohtas #arrah
