"BeAr MaRkEtS ArE GrEaT foR BuiLdINg" Massive cringe ass trope. …. But it’s true. I quit a great job at Stripe (was leading a GTM team, reported in to the CRO) to make the move full time in to crypto at the end of 2022 - a couple months after the FTX crash. ETH was trading just above $1K and almost everyone wrote the industry off. My friends thought I was insane. With the way majors are currently looking and sentiment continues to plummet, things are starting to feel pretty similar. I & my colleagues (at Proof of Play / building Pirate Nation) at the time did some of our best work in 2023 - despite the game having very few players & the main ecosystem NFT only trading at around 0.03E. That work set up huge growth in 2024 (including those NFTs doing almost a 50x) when optimism returned to the markets. The main thing is to keep building with urgency. Gotta make every week count even though it may feel like you have plenty. It’s the only way to coil the spring so it’s giga tight in time for the good times.
