the way comic book productions absolutely despise their source material should be studied
if you were adapting anything else you wouldn’t say that… but with comics, because the people behind these productions see it as a lesser medium think it’s fair game
@oofouchoww Budy trust me secret invasion is NOT good comics also it wouldn't work because alot of characters and elements don't exist
@oofouchoww spiderverse is really the only recent marvel project that respects its source material while also improving upon it and subverting viewer expectations (with the exception of the adaptation of Ganke Lee i would say, but that's in large part bc of the existence of MCU Ned Leeds)
@oofouchoww May I present to you: ✨The Sandman✨ It follows the source material so well and it’s such a good show ugh I love it so much
@oofouchoww Thor Ragnarok as exhibit A, they butchered the Sakaar story and any chance at a good WWH story for a side story mostly full of jokes
@oofouchoww Spider-Verse has gotten me and seemingly hundreds of other people more interested in the comics with just one movie then the MCU has in its entire run lamo
