With a stop in LFAT each way to wave our passports, we popped down to Paris for a long weekend to take the girl to Disneyland and do some sightseeing. LFPL is easy, convenient and ATS were excellent. Super trip! #Paris #avgeek #aviation #Disneyland

First airways flying of '24 with a family trip to Bruges (via @OstendAirport) last weekend. A brilliant couple of days away in a beautiful city, and only a few minutes of bumpy IMC on the return. Friendly and helpful service from the airport and NSAC.

Visited Alderney for the first time yesterday, which turned out to be a well worth it. Nice airfield (quite exposed!), good value landing fee, and a 15k run was enough to explore the majority of the beautiful island. #avgeek #aviation @visitalderney

Another great family day trip - IFR from @BBSAirport to Deauville in the mighty Duchess, and then a short taxi ride to the beautiful Honfleur for lunch last weekend. IMC from 500ft up to 1,500ft on the way out, but mostly clear after that #avgeeks #aviation #Normandie

What an absolutely stunning day. Smooth as silk up at 5,000ft on the way to Guernsey, and CAVOK almost everywhere. A lovely lunch and wander round St. Peter Port, then back to @WLACFlying just in time to see a beautiful sunset and moonrise. #avgeek #aviation #sunsets

Two great @British_Airways flights to and from KSFO for a family holiday. Good service, flights on time, baggage quick to arrive at both ends, barely queued for anything at either airport, and Club Suite feels like a notable, admittedly needed, improvement.

A wild few days of weather for my MEP CR, including a trip from Blackbushe down to (and back from) Lydd for the skills test in the most challenging IMC I've flown in to date. Thankfully, Lydd's micro-climate saved the day for the test itself.

Finally, airborne! A visit to the excellent @Shobdonairfield and another couple of hours in the logbook. Cold and murky at home but warm and sunny in Herefordshire. Weirdly quiet everywhere - was expecting it to be packed but even the car park was empty. Hopefully not for long!
