As inflation subsides, supply chains scale up, and the industry matures, #offshorewind is ideally positioned to deliver substantial cost reductions, climate benefits, and economic growth to the Carolinas.
Across the state and the political spectrum, North Carolina voters recognize that #Offshorewind will have a positive impact on jobs, the state’s economy, and climate change. #Offshorewind is an opportunity that we can’t afford to pass up. #OSW4NC
#Offshorewind is making waves in the U.S. renewable energy sector, creating thousands of good-paying jobs, creating a resilient energy grid, and powering homes with clean, renewable energy 💼🔌🌱 North Carolina must act now to capitalize on this once-in-a-generation opportunity.
North Carolina has committed to achieving 70% carbon reduction by 2030 and net-zero by 2050. As the only large-scale renewable energy resource, #offshorewind is a necessary technology to reach these goals. #OSW4NC
Port investments such as dredging and improvements in heavy-lift capabilities have been made up and down the eastern seaboard to facilitate #offshorewind activities. Encouraging this industry could lead to port upgrades that will support all port industries. #OSW4NC
U.S. offshore wind projects are being designed with fishing in mind. The industry has collaborated closely with fishing interests to ensure that commercial fishing can coexist with #offshorewind
This week, we celebrate North Carolina #cleanenergyweek 🌱⚡ Bipartisan support will be crucial to realize the full potential of clean energy in NC. #Offshorewind energy will play a critical role in this transition, offering both economic and environmental benefits statewide.
The overwhelming majority of NC voters (89%) say renewable energy is important to the state’s future, and 77% agree the primary goal of the NC’s energy policy should be achieving 100% clean energy. #Offshorewind will be key to achieving this goal. #OSW4NC

The military has a well-established process for ensuring that #offshorewind development occurs in a manner that is compatible with military operations. #OSW4NC
