Travel restrictions with Omicron are completely pointless. Posturing from politicians. This virus spreads at an unbelievable speed, once it's in, it's in. Futile and damaging gestures won't change that.

With lockdown in force and people only getting out for short walks, might be good if the lethal ice rink pavements got a bit of grit on them. It’s either develop the skills of Torvil and Dean or walk in the middle of the road and risk being hit by a car. 😬

1/ PM statement was dreadful. The EU view was bluntly expressed yesterday but not new - she just hasn’t been listening. If her tactic now is to double down on the Chequers dead duck, and then blame EU for a no deal, she will do huge damage to all those she is supposed to serve.
