Friend: It seems like more people are feeling confident enough to speak out about the terrible things happening in Gaza. Me: Can I quote you on that? Friend: No.
Multiply by several million, and support for Biden's policies is probably significantly lower than it seems. Israel's supporters are bot-like in their loudness, whereas many who disapprove of their tactics are too intimidated to speak up. They'll show it when they vote though.
@paulg Do you think this will make people vote for Trump? Trump seems even more pro-Israel.
@paulg It’s hard to see a workable alternative, so I think people are going to watch power do what it does.
@paulg If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, for you will heap burning coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you" Proverbs 25 Maybe that's the evangelical take??
@paulg I hope to god you are right. Thanks Paul.
@paulg Speaking of bot-like behavior, I suggest you start taking a deeper look at the kind of people on this platform happily endorsing your messages. “The camel does not see its own hump, but that of its brother.”
@paulg I find it interesting that you keep saying Israel supporters are "bot-like." What do you mean by that?
@paulg I think part of the reason that the anti-genocide humans are less vocal is that it feels silly to say, "Slaughtering people en masse is wrong." Of course it's wrong. Silence reflects disgust not fear. Whereas there are not enough words in the dictionary to justify genocide.
