the eras tour movie rental being $19.89 for 48 hours is criminal
i would understand that price if i was buying it! but renting it for 2 days?? no way.
@paytmitch Truly I just want to have a dance party in the living room with my friends why’s it cost so much
@paytmitch This is a normal price for Premium Video On Demand. Here's Barbie for reference. Once we get 90+ days out of the theatrical window (the start of the physical window) prices will come down.
@paytmitch Boycott Eras Tour Movie Rental Due To Price Gouging! TS is a billionaire, Eras Tour is highest grossing concert tour and released during Christmas holiday season, a time of compassion and goodwill. TS’ “let them eat cake” pricing during global cost of living crisis is tone deaf.
@paytmitch Hey it could be for 13 hours 🤣 in theater we got it one unpausable time so I consider this an accessibility win and cheaper than the theater to boot👍
@paytmitch Yell at the NFL for not paying Superbowl acts and she could recoup the free PR that way or have the dodgers negotiate the contract so it's 2 dollars for you but the only way your kids will see it is if Disney puts it in their vault
@paytmitch Unfortunately that’s pretty average for renting a movie that’s still in theaters
@paytmitch Itll be down to 4.99 in a couple months. Premium Video on Demand period rentals are basically trying to incentivize people to just buy it outright, usually for a couple dollars more. With the death of most physical media sales the studios do what they can to replace that revenue.
