A few notes: 1. By the government's own accounting (and reports from orgs in Lesotho), Trump's figures are wrong. 2. At least 1500 health workers have been sent home since the administration halted foreign aid. 3. Trump and Musk's policies will kill millions. They already are.

As a nurse and public health researcher who has witnessed firsthand the value of U.S.-sponsored programs in Lesotho -- programs now threatened by Trump’s blanket cuts to foreign aid -- I didn't see anything to laugh about. Instead, here's my take. progressive.org/op-eds/why-ame…
Last week, @realDonaldTrump spoke to Congress about @elonmusk and @DOGE. Among programs he described as “appalling waste,” Trump referenced “eight million dollars to promote LGBTQI+ in the African nation of Lesotho, which nobody has ever heard of.” Republicans laughed.
