Scarlet Darter (Crocothemis erythraea) males. Fresh individuals are straw coloured like the females, with the legs, body and eyes becoming completely red with age. One of the three commonest dragonflies in Málaga province

Iceland Gull 2cy present for the 46th day in the Redbridge / Lower Test area. Today it was flying circuits around Redbridge Towers.

The 2cy Iceland Gull was showing well on rooftops around the Redbridge Roundabout lunchtime 04.03.23. 29th day.
3rd-winter argenteus Herring Gull at Mayflower Park (Southampton, UK) on 24.02.23. Black primaries with small white tips and a small w mirror on P10, tail almost completely white but plenty of signs of immaturity elsewhere. #hantsbirds #gulls

Victory snatched from the jaws of defeat! Great Grey Shrike popped up on gorse then a small pine not far from Pig Bush car park after a 4 1/2 hr wander (and an ear bend!)
