J.J. doesn't get enough credit for the character introductions in TFA. Especially not for the brilliant Rey introduction. It wasn't over the top. It wasn't forced or showy. It didn't go out of its way to say, "This is our lead." It's just simple and heartwarming. #StarWars
@pedrolms20 It really wasn't anything new either.
@pedrolms20 Heartwarming ? She’s scavenging and can barely feed herself.
@pedrolms20 I think it was the most boring introduction of all sw character in recent years. Just a scavenger with no backstory or background and the way she suddenly learns the force and has all the knowledge even a jedi master would struggle to do, its mind boggling.
@pedrolms20 That's because after the introductions JJ went on to ruin Star Wars.
@pedrolms20 “It wasn’t forced or showy” = didn’t do much…. That doesn’t mean brilliant. And not heartwarming IMO.
@pedrolms20 JJ is a terrible storyteller with no direction or clue. The 3 films sucked and the Rise of Skywalker is one of the worst films of any genre in the history of Hollywood.
@pedrolms20 I thought it supposed to be focused on 3 leads.....that Poe, Finn, and Rey. Then it just became the Rey Palpatine trilogy. I wasn't impressed. But I will never watch sequels again to remember this scene. Thanks to Rain Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy 🤬
