1/ After a violent attack by CCP thugs at today’s protest, I saw a Tibetan mother crying trying to run to her son. I was liaising at the time, trying to maintain safety. After the situation was deescalated, I just walked to the side and started sobbing.
2/ The pain in her eyes and voice. The pain of a Tibetan mother’s heart. I thought of all the Tibetan mother’s inside Tibet who feel powerless to protect their children against CCP violence.
3/ I wiped my tears and the protest continued. The mother stayed until the very end of the protest despite her emotion. Our people are resilient. Our movement is truth. We will never back down. We may feel frustration, we may feel weak at moments, but we will always rise.
4/ The CCP’s deployment of thugs in broad daylight on the streets of San Francisco shows that it is THEM who are afraid. Afraid of our people. Afraid of our strength, our resilience, our solidarity with each other.
