Downside of "sprinting", "lean UX-ing" & other methods of "speed" in design, yields churn/debt due to lack of even a mediocre IA. Anyone have solid pivots to Design Sprints focusing on IA or even frameworks for single-day discovery? #DesignSprints #UX
And a solid, "Jason, stop commodifying design!" is a very acceptable response. :)
@periodicdesign How about the ORCA process from @sophiavux? I think it’s a good example of collaborative IA definition. e.g. like this: miro.com/miroverse/ooux…
@periodicdesign Sprint? Day 1+2-IA input with some remote tree testing 3-synthesize the new IA 4-rapid lo-if prototype with the new IA 5-validate with a cycle of in-person contextual inquiry of a prototype That should give you -overall direction -identify initial confusion areas
@periodicdesign Reply from our Design Lead:
@periodicdesign I've got a one-day group working session specifically focused on IA – including card sorting and sketching – to help jump-start teams that are a bit lost.
